What makes an attar a luxury attar?

Not the packaging. Three things decide it: what went into the bottle, how long it holds on skin, and whether it still smells like itself an hour in. A premium attar uses more of the expensive material and less of the carrier, so the scent develops rather than fading flat. It also tends to be quieter at first and larger later, which is the opposite of a cheap oil that shouts on application and disappears by lunch. The premium attars on this page are chosen on that basis rather than on price alone.

Elsewhere you will see the same territory called luxury perfume or premium perfume. Those usually mean an alcohol spray from a designer house, which is a different product: it carries further, lasts less, and is not suitable for prayer.

The nine attars in this range

• Oud-led: Premium Oud, Precious Oud, Swiss Oud and White Oud Attar. Swiss Oud is the most expensive of the four.
• Named classics: Safa Marwa and Hateem, the two most asked for by name across the whole shop.
• Softer and sweeter: Vanilla Oud and Wedding, both easier to wear and the better choice for a gift when you do not know the person's taste.

Where the rarest oils actually are

This page holds our premium blends. The genuinely rare material, the single-origin oils that run into six figures, sits in pure attar: hundred-year-old wild Hindi oud, Taif rose, Nepali deer musk. If you are shopping at the very top of the market, that is the page you want. If you want something premium that you will comfortably wear every week, this one is the better fit. It is a genuine difference in kind, not a sales line.

Luxury attar price in Pakistan

The range here runs Rs.1,950 to Rs.5,500 for a 3 ml and up to Rs.19,500 for a 12 ml, with most sitting between those. That places it above our everyday oils and well below the rare single-origin oud, which is exactly the intended gap. A premium attar is worth buying in the small size first: at this level the differences between one oud blend and another are real, and a 3 ml is enough to know within a fortnight whether it suits you. Nothing here is priced as a tester, so a small bottle is still a full purchase.

Buying a premium attar as a gift

Attar is one of the few gifts in Pakistan that works for almost any occasion, and it is a standard at shaadis, on Eid and for anyone returning from Umrah. Two rules make it easier. Pick something soft rather than challenging if you do not know their taste, which is why Wedding and Vanilla Oud are the safest of these nine. And buy the 6 ml rather than the 3 ml: it presents properly without moving into the price bracket where you have to be sure you have chosen correctly.

Buying and delivery

Every oil on this page is cash on delivery across Pakistan, arriving in four to five working days. We have been selling fragrance for six years from the shop at Bahria Orchard on Raiwind Road in Lahore, and at this end of the range it is worth going in and smelling several before deciding. Bottles at least 95% full can be exchanged inside 15 days, sale items excluded. Orders from outside Pakistan are arranged on WhatsApp.
